Metallic Blast Abrasives for Robust Industrial Processes

Metallic blast abrasives are the first choice for demanding applications in industry. Steel shot is excellent for shot peening and surface strengthening, while angular steel grit delivers aggressive cleaning performance with high durability. Stainless steel blast media is a ferrite-free, non-rusting medium and is preferably used in stainless steel processing – e.g. food / pharmaceutical industry and medical technology. Werner Rumler supplies metallic blast abrasives in all common grain sizes and hardness classes. Thanks to their high reusability, metallic blast abrasives are particularly economical in continuous operation. We advise you on the optimal combination of material, grain size and machine settings.

CHROME ANGULAR & CHROME-NICKEL ROUND

CHROME ANGULAR & CHROME-NICKEL ROUND

Product Information Metallic Blasting Media

0.05 – 0.2 mm to 1.7 – 3.3 mm

Round stainless steel chrome-nickel is suitable for cleaning blasting and shot peening of stainless steels and non-ferrous metals. The material produces a homogeneous, silky-matt surface, particularly effective on aluminium die-cast parts. A long service life with low equipment wear makes this rust-free abrasive especially economical.
Angular stainless steel chrome grit can be a worthwhile alternative to iron-free, mineral abrasives due to its extremely long service life. The angular grain shape makes it possible to prepare stainless materials for a subsequent surface coating.

Chilled iron grit angular/round

Product Information Metallic Blasting Media

0.10 – 0.20 mm to 2.00 – 2.80 mm

De-rusting, descaling, roughening and preparing materials for subsequent coatings and paint finishes. Due to the sharp fracture edges during the blasting process, angular chilled iron grit remains permanently aggressive, which results in short blasting times and a very high abrasive performance.
